APP has a legacy of providing bold, clear, and brilliant solutions

Benzyl alcohol free formulations. APP is the only U.S. manufacturer to provide benzyl alcohol free MDV Heparin.
Seamless implementation of all new and existing USP specifications. APP anticipated changes to USP Stage 1 and 2 procedures and was the first manufacturer to provide Stage 2 USP Heparin product, clearly identified with an “N” after the expiration date.

Innovative solutions to latex closures. In January 2010, APP started manufacturing Heparin Sodium Injection, USP vials with container closures not made from natural
rubber latex.
Setting the standard with bar coding. APP led the industry by implementing bar coding at the unit-of-use level to its injectable products, well in advance of the FDA's 2004 decision to mandate this practice for all manufacturers.
